·         Registration is open to all Malaysians and Non – Malaysians (Permanent Residents and Expatriates with valid working permit) aged 18 and over as of 31 December 2014. Registration can be done:·

Note :

  • Any online registration that is not followed immediately by online payment will be considered invalid.
  • No refund will be given for wrongful or multiple registration.
  • Substitution and changing of categories is NOT allowed, so please select the running distance carefully. Otherwise you will have to re-register.
  • Postal entries are not accepted.
  • The decision of the Competition Committee is final when accepting entries.  The organizers have the right to refuse an entry without having to disclose a reason.

* Corporate Package available at RM1,000 for a team of 10 entries as follows:

  • all 10 entries can select to run the same distance OR preferred distance of either 5KM or 10KM
  • Each member of the team must register online individually using the special code issued for Corporate Package
    • Proceeds from the registration fee will be channelled equally by iM4U to all 4 confirmed beneficiaries.

    • For all online registrations, RM35.00 and RM45.00 registration fee stated in the chart below are bound to the terms and conditions of iM4U.

Prize Winners

To claim the prizes, participants must produce his or her original identity card (or passport in the case of a foreign participant) for age and identity verification purposes. 
 

Running Kit

All participants registered for the run will be entitled to receive a running kit consisting of a runner’s T - shirt, Message Bib (5KM only), Number Bib (10KM only), Running Chip(10KM only) and Runner’s Guide Book. All participants must collect their running kit according to the date, time and venue confirmed by iM4U.
 

Finishers’ Entitlement

Participants who complete the run will receive a Finisher’s Medal and Participation Certificate upon crossing the finish line.

Note :

a. Please be informed that t-shirt size selection will only be entertained on a first come first served basis while stocks last after which they will be distributed as available.

b. There will be NO distribution of running kit on the run day.

c. Please take note that all the running kits that are not collected within the stipulated period will be deemed as unwanted and the organizers reserve the right to dispose of them in any manner deemed appropriate.

d. Registered runners without their running bib; either message or number bibs will not be entitled to the finisher medal, certificate and goodie bag.

e. For collection of 10 running kits and above, please email your bulk collection name list (full name and IC/passport number of each participant) to icare@hooha.asia latest by Friday 29 May 2015. Please ensure to submit the authorization letter for each participant listed in the bulk collection name list at the bulk collection counter on the running kit collection day.

f. Non-Malaysians and outstation runners (living outside Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor) who require special arrangement for running kit collection, please drop us as an email at icare@hooha.asia latest by Friday 29 May 2015.

 

Have your running kit couriered to your door step!

Running kit delivery to your preferred address is available at RM11.00 for online registration. Valid for cities in West Malaysia only. The Running Kit delivery will take place from Mon-Fri. If you are working please provide your office address as your preferred address for your convenience.

 

Results

The results (applicable to the 10KM run) will be verified by FTKLAA and their decision is final.
 

Prize Winners

Winners must ensure they have filled and sign the necessary documentation for the cheque presentation after the run is completed. 


Registration Closing Date.

Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organizers to ensure the participants safety, participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual event day.

The organizers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of heavy rain or thunder storm or extreme weather condition. Should the heavy rain, thunder storm or extreme weather condition persist after delay, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the run without any refund. In the event of heavy rain or thunder storm or catastrophic or natural disaster resulting in a postponement or cancellation of the above event, the organisers shall not be held responsible for any claims whatsoever in any form made by any individual or parties concerned.

Health : Yayasan Jantung Malaysia

  • Yayasan Jantung Malaysia is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation dedicated to the education of the public on heart and circulatory diseases.
  • The foundation is funded almost entirely by public support but receives some limited government co-operation for specific projects.
  • The Foundation's heart-health message is direct and effective
    • enjoy healthy eating
    • exercise
    • be smoke-free and
    • check your blood pressure regularly.
       

Animals : Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary (LASSie)

  • The Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sanctuary (LASSie) Foundation is set-up to receive, rehabilitate and care for neglected, abused and needy animals.
  • One of the centre’s objectives is to educate adults & children to ensure their peaceful co-existence with both their wild neighbours as well as domestic animals. An education programme with all schools on the island is currently being designed.
  • The Sanctuary aims for a no-kill policy and cares for animals whose age, disposition or disability, make them unlikely to find homes. Many of our animals are road accident or trauma cases and therefore need special love and attention. These animals are given the opportunity to live out their lives with dignity.
     

Community : SVM Welfare Association

  • SVM Welfare Association is a home centre for the handicapped, mentally ill, orphanage and old folk based in Puchong, Selangor. It currently has 17 residents.



Special Needs : Dyslexia Association of Malaysia (PDM)

  • The Dyslexia Association of Malaysia (PDM) is an association formed in Malaysia to advance the education and general welfare of the children and others who are affected by dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities.
  • The association has a primary objective: -
    • To advance the education and welfare of children and others who are affected by specific learning disabilities
    • To promote a general awareness and understanding of the problems and needs of children and others with specific learning disabilities and thereby to assist them to obtain specialized diagnosis and treatment so that their disabilities maybe remedied as early as possible
    • To persuade appropriate authorities to include in teacher training courses such as instructions that would serve to qualify teachers to recognise children that may have specific learning disabilities requiring special treatment.
    • To promote the establishment of special courses for remedial teacher training and remedial teacher services in places where such facilities do not exist.
    • To adopt such measures and take such steps and do all such things as may, in the opinion of the Association, be conductive to the promotion of cordial relations between the Association and kindred associations or persons (whether in Malaysia or otherwise) interested in any aspect of specific learning disabilities.
    • To establish, subscribe or donate to promote, become member of, support or co-operate or amalgamate with any kindred association or body (whether incorporated or not) whose objectives are altogether or in part similar to those of this Association.

 

 

Rules & Regulation of the Reach Out Run.

1.       Reach Out Run (hereafter known as the “Event”) is conducted under the regulations of the Malaysian Athletics Federation (MAF) and terms and condition of the Reach Out Run 2015.

2.      In consideration of iM4U allowing the Participant’s participation in the Event, the Participant must be aged 18 years old and above hereby warrants, undertakes and agrees :-

a)     To forever release, discharge and hold harmless iM4U, affiliates, officers, sponsors, advertisers employees and agents from any and all liabilities claims demands and action causes of action damages injuries costs expenses (including but not limited to any medical costs and/or expenses and property damage) which the Participants or any party claiming through or for the Participants hereafter may have arising from or in any way relating to the Event or any related activity or the Participant’s participation or use of merchandizes/goodies provided herein, including any and all claims of personal injury, wrongful death or property damage.

b)     That the Participant is physically fit, medically able and sufficiently trained to participate in the Event and shall abide by the Event officials decision relating to the Participants ability to safety participate in or complete the run;

c)      That the Participants shall abide by all rules and regulations of the Event and all decisions of iM4U/Event officials including that to remove the Participants from the courses or further participants in the Event if in Event if in their sole opinion continuing endanger the health/safety of the Participants or others;

d)     That it is understood that bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller blades/skates and animals are not allowed in the run;

e)     That there are risks inherent with running on public streets and the Participant is voluntarily participating in the event with full knowledge of the possible hazards involved and hereby voluntarily and fully assumes all risks associated therewith including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effect of the weather including high heat/humidity, the conditions of the road and traffic on the course and all such risks of injury, inconvenience, harm, loss or death, in connection with his/her participants in the Event and related activities, including travelling to or from the Event even if caused In whole or in part by the negligence or others fault of the parties or persons he/she is hereby releasing, by the dangerous or defective condition of any property or equipment owned, maintained or controlled by them and /or because of their liability without fault, even though he/she does not know what or how extensive those injuries and damages might be;

f)        As the registration fees from the run will be channelled equally to chosen beneficiaries selected by iM4U, the registration fee paid by the Participants shall be non-refundable in all cases;

g)     iM4U & its subsidiary, iM4U.FM, shall have the right to use and to authorize others to use the Participants name, and likeness via any media including any recording/filming/broadcast thereof in connection with his/her participants in the Event and related activities;

h)     That all statements made and /or information provided by the Participants/ in this Agreement are true, correct, accurate and complete, and further warrants that he/she has truthfully and accurately completed all forms including the application form relating to the Events, and has not withheld any information requested of him/her and that by signing this agreement and supplying the answers and information requested of him/her by iM4U, he/she has no way been misleading or untruthful. Furthermore, the Participants/Parent/Guardian acknowledge that iM4U reserve the right exercisable at any time at its sole discretion to disqualify the Participants from the Event should the Participants at any stage omit to supply any information reasonably requested of him/her, supply untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details or information, or otherwise be in breach of the terms contained herein or any of the rules and regulations relating to the Event.

i)        That the Participants consents to the use of the information provided in the registration form (without any compensation to the participants) to publicize the Event or otherwise, as determined by iM4U, to the extent permitted by the law.

3.      iM4U will not be responsible if any online registration and/or payment is not received due to any system, server or connection failure, interruption and delay or computer viruses or any other reason beyond our control. Only registrations and payments that are acknowledge received are deemed valid (acknowledgments of registration and payment will be made by the participating race management, iM4u and its appointed gateway via email

4.      iM4U have the right to change, add, amend, or alter the terms and conditions herein without prior notification.

5.      All decisions made by iM4U and the Event organiser shall be final and binding on the participant and iM4U and the Event organiser shall not be obliged to entertain request, appeal or review on any decision made.
